מאיה פופובה עם המופע מחול “סרפנטינה”
שביל המתפתל לאט כנחש דרך ההרים, לוקח את הזמן להגיע אל יעדו. כמו כביש סרפנטינה, עבודות המחול מתחברות, מובילות את הקהל דרך מסע אל יעדם הסופי. ההופעה הורכבה ממספר חלקים שונים שנוצרו על פני תקופת זמן, הנקשרים דרך תנועה וקונספט. כל הרקדנים מגיעים מרקעים שונים לחלוטין מבחינת הכשרה והאופן בו הם זזים. כולם נעים בין תנועות עוצמתיות ומתנפצות לבין משי נוזלי המקבל צורה פיזית, ומביאים את אישיותם המורכבות והשונות לבמה.

Serpentine, a path that winds slowly like a snake through the mountains, taking its time to reach its destination. Like a serpentine road, the dance works connect, leading the audience through a journey to their eventual destination. The performance was comprised of multiple different pieces created over a period, linked through movement and concept. The dancers all come from completely different backgrounds in terms of training and the way in which they move. They range from explosive, powerful movers to liquid silk given physical form, all of them bringing their complex and different personalities to the stage.
